MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion is a safe and effective form of exfoliation to improve overall skin tone and texture for all skin types. this advanced treatment for skin resurfacing is designed to buff and polish the skin to reveal clearer, brighter and healthier skin. although microdermabrasion is an aggressive form of exfoliation, there is no pain or discomfort associated with the treatment
Here at Sparks Aesthetics we use diamond tip microdermabrasion which has shown to be safer and more precise. The diamond tip is used to slough away the top layer of skin while the wands vacuum suction sucks up the dirt and dead skin cells
BENEFITS
Getting rid of uneven skin texture/tone & melasma
Dealing with sun damage
Reducing appearance of fine lines/wrinkles
Reducing appearance of age spots & hyperpigmentation /acne scarring
RECOVERY TIME?
Your skin might feel sensitive and vulnerable right after a microdermabrasion facial. microdermabrasion requires no down-time, therefore you can resume to your daily schedule as normal.
PRE TREATMENT
Discontinue any manual or chemical exfoliation 3-5 days prior to service.
If you are currently using any retinol, exfoliating serums, enzymes, facial polishes, or scrubs - discontinue use. Over exfoliation can cause acne breakouts, hyper/hypo pigmentation, redness, and dry skin. Skin cells take time to renew and you must allow them to do so before receiving a maximum exfoliation service.
Schedule laser or any form of hair epilation 2 weeks prior to service.
Facial epilation such as laser, waxing, and threading should be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to service or 14 days post service.
It is important to note that some forms of hair epilation remove dead skin cell particles and act as a mild exfoliant. Threading can cause irritation if scheduled too close to any exfoliation treatment.
POST TREATMENT AFTER CARE
